The “queen of pop” has done it again! Hilary Duff has released another single, “All About You.” The track dropped today, August 12th, just 2 weeks after the former Disney star released her comeback single, “Chasing The Sun.”
Apparently, “Chasing The Sun” didn’t do as well as expected, which possibly explains why the singer chose to release “All About You” in such a short time-frame (or, maybe she just wanted to release another new song for her fans to hear). Needless to say, I like both of the songs, and I’m just happy that we get to hear more music from Hilary.
“All About You” is another fun song that Hilary describes as being “kind of naughty and summery and different [for me].” It was co-written by Duff, Kristian Lundin, Savan Kotecha (who has written songs for Britney Spears, Ariana Grande and Cher Lloyd, among others), and Carl Falk. It’s definitely a bit more edgier than some of Hilary’s other songs, and it’s a nice change for the actress-turned-singer. It has this guitar riff that just reminds me of Taylor Swift’s hit song, “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and even the lyrics have that same theme as “IKYWT.”
Hilary attended the 2014 Teen Choice Awards this past Sunday, and I thought I could hear a preview of the song while she was presenting one of the awards. You can listen to the preview below.
“All About You,” the 2nd single from Hilary Duff’s upcoming fifth studio album, is available on iTunes now.
