Hello, it’s Me

I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet? To go over…

I may have referenced Adele’s mega-popular song “Hello”, but this isn’t a review of her music. This is me, saying what’s really on my heart.

In the past two and a half years since I last wrote a real post on this blog, there have been a lot of changes in my life (both personally and professionally). Yes, I left my job writing for Polished (it’s a long story)– and I’ll admit sometimes I miss writing for them.

But, as they (whoever “they” are) always say, when one door closes, another one opens… or, in my case, a bunch of doors! 🙂 I became an entrepreneur, started another blog (which I don’t write on much anymore, but will have linked at the top of the website under the “Welcome” menu), have been working on a book about my experiences, graduated high-school, and moved to a new province. All in the span of 2 years. Crazy, right?

And it’s during all this time that I’ve been doing some self-realization, trying to find myself and figure out what I want to do now that I’m officially a young adult. I mean, I just turned 18 earlier this year, I’m finally out of high-school and ready to “take on the world” (as the now-cancelled TV show Girl Meets World said in their theme song). For a while, I was considering abandoning this website completely, because I didn’t want to just write about the latest celebrity news anymore. That’s what this website had turned into.

But then I remembered my motive for starting this blog. The enthusiasm when my parents helped me build it; the 4th-grade journal theme I originally had on it (LOL! I still love that theme, to be completely honest); and the delight on my face when, with my mom’s help, I wrote my first blog post about a brand-new Disney show called Sonny With A Chance. That was back in 2009.

When I started writing all those years ago, it was for one purpose: to share what’s on my mind and to hopefully inspire people in the long-run. And although I’ve been blogging on my business website (Rustic Christian Signs), I want to reach out to other platforms as well, and try writing about different things.

So, with all that being said, I would like to announce that I have officially come back to A Kid’s Point of View! 😀 (*cue triumphant background music*)

Stay tuned for some new posts… updates on my life, reviews about things that I want to write about, and even a few throwback posts just for fun! It’s going to be slightly different now that I’m “older and wiser”, LOL, but it’s going to be a fun journey and I can’t wait for you all to be apart of it! 🙂
