How in the world is it almost November 1st?! In the past, I would’ve been freaking out because “OMG, tomorrow’s Halloween! I’m so excited!” But, truth be told, I’m not a huge fan of Halloween anymore for some strange reason. *types this as the Halloween episode of Lizzie McGuire plays in the background*
The only thing I like about Halloween is the 50% off candy once the holiday is over. I’m more excited about CHRISTMAS, than anything when it comes to holidays!
Since the last time I’ve blogged (which I just realized was a long time ago…), a lot of amazing things have happened. This graphic design business has really taken off, to the point where we’re finally starting to work on our own website for it! It’s taking a long time because we’re working with Amazon S3 (primarily for the storage/delivery of our approximately 1000 digital files)… the process is so simple, yet so tedious! But it shouldn’t be too much longer before we’re redirecting our customers to the new website!
Also on the personal front: I’ve been learning more new songs on the guitar! I’ve been playing guitar since 2016, but started actually taking lessons last November… it’s been such a fun experience and I’ve learned a lot of new techniques! Some of my favorite songs to play are pop/rock songs from the 90’s and 2000’s, such as “Complicated” by Avril Lavigne. I’ve listened to Avril’s music on and off throughout my childhood and early teen years, but feel that I can relate to her lyrics more now that I’m a young adult– therefore, I have more respect for her music. Especially “Complicated,” which was released in 2002. Why did I gravitate towards this song? Is it the message of the lyrics? The instrumentation that clearly screams “2000’s pop-rock”? I don’t know. All I know is that I love the song and posted my guitar cover version of it to YouTube recently!
I’ll be writing more posts soon!
